MS / MD / DNB
Programme includes:
Mastering
- Indirect Ophthalmoscopy
- Slit Lamp Examination techniques
- Contact and non-contact lenses
Investigations
- Performing various procedures like
- FFA
- ICG
- OCT
- USG and Interpreting them in various clinical conditions.
Candidate gets to learn and perform various Vitreo retinal treatment procedures:
- Green and Diode lasers in various clinical conditions
- IL O laser Delivery
- PDT laser ( observe)
- ROP laser
- Intra Vitreal Injection administration
Retinal OPD
- Will get to see and diagnose various clinical cases in OPD
Surgeries
- Candidate gets to assist and perform
- Scleral buckling procedures
- Pars Plana Vitrectomies for different clinical conditions (23G, 25G, 27G) under supervision
Academics:
- There will be clinical case presentations and lectures in Vitreo Retinal topics
- Candidate is expected to present a paper in national/ state ophthalmic society during his/her tenure
- Candidate should participate in regular clinical meetings for postgraduates
- They must maintain their log book.
- There will be an exit exam at the end of the tenure
Community Service:
- Candidate is expected to attend Diabetic & ROP screening camps and related camps during his/her tenure
Stipend
Rs. 40,000 per month
Clinical Adjunct stipend : Rs. 50,000 per month
Refundable Caution Deposit: Rs. 30,000
